Taurus New Moon: Easy Growth

The sun and moon will meet at 12:53pm EST today May 19th. With Jupiter having started it’s yearlong trek through Taurus just a few days ago, talk of abundance and expansion have been buzzing on social media and in many a newsletter this week. So this morning I lit my candle, set my new moon altar, and sat down to do an embodied meditation in hopes of finding where ‘abundance’ lives in my body.

I was asked to locate a sensation that I want to call in and my mind said ‘easy growth’. I want to grow, expand, learn, and share. But I want to do it with stable roots that support my movement, not unlike dance or yoga. As I felt my body vibrating with this sense of ‘easy growth’ I realized: IT’S ALREADY HERE! Everything I want to call in or manifest already exists within me.

The seeds are planted. I just have to choose which ones I turn my attention to and water.

Easy growth is not fast growth. It’s slow and strong. Like Taurus. It often feels like it’s not happening at all. That’s the beauty of Taurus. She reminds us that growth is slow and the beauty we desire is already right in front of our eyes. We just have to become present enough to see it.

Taurus reminds us that abundance is in the richness of our morning coffee, the sweetness of fresh summer berries, and the decades of stories shared between old friends.

The seeds of abundance are already planted within us. They grow ever so slowly and thoughtfully if we remember to water them with gratitude and awareness. Gratitude for what is already abundant in our lives and awareness that we are living the magic we desire. Right this very moment.

So under this dark sky and new cycle in Taurus, I invite you to clarify which seeds you wish to water this year as Jupiter begins to work it’s magic of growth and expansion. And remember, sustainable growth isn’t fast…it’s strong and slow. <3
