I'm an astrologer and cosmic alignment coach. I'm here to help you bring the magic of the stars into your daily life.
Our last new moon of the year falls on December 23rd at 5:17am EST. The sun and moon meet right at 1° of Capricorn in the early morning. Ruled by Saturn (the wise planet of boundaries and restriction), Capricorn is in no rush to get where it wants to be. She’s got her eye on the prize and she will arrive cool, calm, and collected.
Capricorn season arrives at the end of every year for us to review how far we’ve come, take pride in what we’ve accomplished, and remember that the sky is the limit as we enter the new year. In the sky today, we see the sun, moon, mercury, venus, and pluto all moving through the sign of Capricorn.
We often associate Capricorn with goals and ambitions. This feels fitting as we look to the year ahead and what we want to accomplish. But for this new moon, I want to turn our attention to what gives us purpose and where we feel pride as 2022 comes to a close.
Rather than setting goals for what we want to achieve in the new year, let us reflect on what gives us our purpose and what we’re most proud of. This year, I have felt such pride in my community. I have had the honor of witnessing my friends grow into themselves, create beautiful art, and achieve things we only used to dream of.
So as you begin to embody your inner Capricorn on this new moon, envision how your purpose is guiding you along your own unique journey. But most of all, I want you to take pride in what you have created and who you are becoming…and remember that sometimes achieving your dreams takes a decade, and sometimes it takes a lifetime.
